Warranty
LIMITED WARRANTY FOR STILE AND RAIL DOORS
Kampmann Sash & Door Company warrants that, for a period of two years from the date Kampmann ships the door(s) from its factory, and at the time of the shipment, to be good of material and workmanship and to be free of defects which would render the door(s) unserviceable or unfit for the ordinary, recommended use.
If a door is found to have a defect at the time the shipment is received, the receiver of the door must, prior to hanging or fitting, and within 30 days, send written notice of defect to the manufacturer. If a defect is discovered or occurs after the door is hung, written notice of defect must be sent to the manufacturer within two years from date of shipment.
In the event of a defect or failure to conform to this written warranty, Kampmann Sash & Door at its option, will repair the door or will ship a replacement product in the same condition of fitting and/or finishing as was originally purchased form Kampmann Sash & Door. Installation of replacement products is the responsibility of the customer. If the non-conformity is warp, Kampmann Sash & Door may defer repairing or replacing the product for a period of up to 12 months from the date of claim or the date when the product was installed, in order to permit conditioning and equalizing to humidity and temperature conditions. In the event that repair of the product is not practicable and that Kampmann Sash & Door is unable to provide a replacement, Kampmann Sash & Door will refund to the consumer the price which Kampmann Sash & Door received for the product.
EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITS
The following are not defects in material or workmanship, and are not covered by this written warranty.
1 Unsatisfactory service or appearance caused by failure to comply with “Proper Care, Handling, and Installation Instructions of Doors”.
2 Warp not exceeding one-fourth inch in the plane of the door. Warp includes bow, cup, and twist.
3 Bow or nonalignment in the frame or jamb in which the door is hung.
4 Natural variations in the color or texture of the wood.
5 The following doors are excluded from this warranty:
A All 1 3/8” thick doors which are wider than 3'0” or higher than 7'0”.
B All 1 3/4” thick doors which are wider than 3'6” or higher than 8'0”.
C All doors that do not swing freely or are improperly hung.
D All hardwood doors used in exterior applications.
E Any account that has or had a past due balance will VOID any warranty.
Kampmann Sash & Door shall not be liable for any doors repaired, returned, or replaced without their prior written consent.
